The AquaLab communicates with the PC via a basic RGB cable, but you can purchase a USB adapter. All AquaLab Series four instruments, unlike others, are capable of storing records in the internal memory. Other AquaLabs do not store data in internal memory. The best way to take and monitor data is to use the memory with a Series 4 instrument.
Other AquaLabs like the Series 3 versions do not have internal memory and must be used in coordination with AquaLink 4 to save and manipulate data. For instance, if you are connected to the LITE, the listening screen or "listening for records" is the only way to capture records from non-memory AquaLabs.
